The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its ongoing electronic membership registration exercise to February 8, 2026.
The decision was taken at the 183rd meeting of
the party’s National Working Committee (NWC),
held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the APC
National Secretariat in Abuja.
According to All Progressives Congress (APC) via official X handle, the extension, which was
earlier scheduled to end on January 31, followed
requests from party stakeholders to allow more
supporters and members the opportunity to
register and validate their membership.
The NWC also approved adjustments to the party’s
congresses and National Convention timetable.
Ward Congresses will now hold on Wednesday,
February 18, 2026, while the National Convention
has been rescheduled for March 27 and 28, 2026.
However, Osun State, Ekiti State and the Federal
Capital Territory (FCT) were excluded from the
scheduled congresses due to forthcoming
elections. Rivers State was also excluded, owing
to the subsisting tenure of the current state
executive committees of the party.
In addition, the NWC constituted the National
Convention Planning Committee. The party said
further details on the revised congress timetable,
schedule of activities and the composition of the
committee will be announced in due course.
